As heat temperatures continue to rise throughout the summer, now is an ideal time to find new ways for staying cool. Of course, jumping into a pool is one way to cool off temporarily, but there are some other excellent ways to beat the heat involving your diet and water intake. Keep your body temp in check during the summer season with the following healthy habits.

Among one of the most important things to this summer do is stay hydrated. By consuming an adequate amount of water (and even more on days you spend outside or exercising), you keep your system fully replenished with essential electrolytes. Considering our bodies are comprised of 60% water and almost all of our body weight comes from water, drinking lots of H2O is vital for maintaining health when it’s super hot outside. Doing so replaces water lost through sweat, and water is necessary for optimal body functioning including cell regeneration, joint lubrication, waste removal, and changes in body temperature.1

If you’re the type who struggles to drink enough water during the day, there are other ways to improve consumption through better dieting. Fruits and vegetables often contain a lot of water that can be counted toward your daily water intake. Get creative with summer snacking by eating healthy foods that also contain a lot of water. Water-filled foods perfect for summertime hydration include celery, watermelon, strawberries, cucumbers, and cantaloupe.

Leafy greens such as kale and spinach are also a popular choice for getting extra water intake, although it can be difficult to find time to create a thoughtful meal out of fresh produce from day to day. Fortunately, Kiwami Greens offers a convenient solution by giving everyone a chance to get their daily dose of vitamins and minerals (many of which are found in dark leafy greens) while also staying hydrated. It’s as easy as adding our masterfully crafted blend to your favorite water-based beverages and foods! This way, you can ensure your body is supplied with everything it needs to stay healthy and hydrated all summer long.
